England star Mary Earps could stay at Manchester United beyond this year, despite her contract being set to expire and several clubs interested.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Earps' future has been the subject of mass speculation for several months now, with there not much in the news to suggest a new deal is close to being agreed with the Red Devils. As it stands, the 30-year-old will be a free agent this summer, then, but reports that United are still "in the running" to secure her long-term future.

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have been linked with Earps, while Arsenal made a bid for her services last summer. However, the report notes that PSG's three international spots, reserved for players outside of the EU, are all occupied, while Barca are focusing on signing a striker and a defender this summer. The Catalans have been linked with England's Ellie Roebuck, too, another goalkeeper set to be a free agent in a few months' time.
